Our mock draft simulator—as part of Draft Champion—is a free-to-use tool. If you want to save your drafts and access previous mock drafts, create a Fantasy Life account.
The first step in conducting your simulated mock draft is to configure your draft settings atop the tool. The configurations are outlined below.
- Scoring System: Choose from 20 pre-built scoring systems, including 0.5-PPR, Standard, TE Premium, and more.
- Custom Scoring: Is your league so unique that it doesn’t fit one of the offered 20 scoring systems? You can sync your league’s exact scoring settings here.
- Simulation Mode: Select between “auto-draft opponent picks” to speed up the draft and manually make your own selections, or “in-person draft mode” to manually enter every pick, opponents and your own. In-person draft mode is an excellent way to use Draft Champion as a companion to your in-person drafts.
- Draft Type: Choose your draft style from a snake, linear, or third-round reversal formats.
- Number of Teams: Enter the number of teams in the draft. Draft Champion supports up to 18 teams.
- Draft Position: Choose to either randomize the draft order entirely or manually pick where you want to draft from.
- Roster Positions: Fine-tune your roster settings, ensuring the correct distribution of starters and bench spots.
- ADP: Choose from various fantasy football providers for your ADP, including Yahoo, ESPN, and five more options.
- Your Draft Strategy: Select your approach to your mock draft, including balanced, Zero RB, Hero RB, Late-Round QB, and more.
- Opponents' Draft Strategy: Make the same selections on a team-by-team basis for every opponent in the mock draft simulation.
- Keepers: If your league is a keeper league, you can search and input the keepers here, based on team and round.
Once you’ve adjusted your settings to fit what you’re looking for, you can click “Start Draft”.
There are three primary elements of the Draft Dashboard that you will see:
Rankings: On the left-hand side of the dashboard, you will see tiered rankings from Fantasy Life’s consensus rankings. This rankings list will include all of the remaining available players in your mock draft simulation. If you want to filter the rankings positionally or by a specific expert (or experts), you have those options atop the module.
Queue: Similar to setting your in-draft queue on platforms like Sleeper, ESPN, or Underdog, you can set and adjust your queue here, with the option to filter your queue by position.
Roster: This is the traditional roster view of your drafted players and remaining roster spots. You can also choose to view any of your opponents’ rosters here, too. If you’re unsure how you want to approach your empty roster spots, you can click “Get a Suggestion” to be taken to the Draft Assistant element of Draft Champion.
