When building a free agency claim, users will first select the free agent that they want to add to their team. Then users will need to select the corresponding player to drop and input how much FAAB $ they want to bid. If the FAAB $ bid was the highest bid among all league mates, that player will be awarded to the team at the next scheduled bidding period run. In a FCFS league, after the first waiver run, there will be no claims and a free agent will just need to be selected, have a corresponding player dropped, and will be added to the roster.
There will be no contingency bids added to claims. This means that multiple claims will need to be made to have backup options for player additions. Below is an example, of how to structure claims if somebody needed to drop Justin Herbert for a new QB:
1st Claim
Add Patrick Mahomes ($25 bid)
Drop Justin Herbert
2nd Claim
Add Bryce Young ($10 bid)
Drop Justin Herbert
3rd Claim
Add Tyler Shough ($0 bid)
Drop Justin Herbert
Creating these claims will help increase a team's chances of replacing the player they wish to drop. In this example, if a different league member had bid $50 FAAB on Mahomes, and another person bid $11 FAAB on Young, but nobody else placed a claim on Shough, then Shough would be awarded to the team, and Justin Herbert dropped.
The order of priority on claims is adjustable as well. If a league member creates three separate $0 claims on three different players, those will need to be prioritized in the order the league member hopes they will run. Otherwise, they will be prioritized in the order in which they were created. All claims can be viewed and edited on the Waivers page.
